Job Opportunities API for Zapier

Send new jobs to Google Sheets, Slack or a CMS with a three-step Zap.

  • Official
  • No code

Our Zapier app (triggers New Job and Job Closed; searches for jobs and companies) is available through the invite link while it waits for a listing in Zapier's directory. The Webhooks recipe below needs a paid Zapier plan: Webhooks by Zapier is a Premium app, and Zapier's pricing lists Webhooks and multi-step Zaps on paid plans.

Set it up in 4 steps

You need a free API key (no card) — get one here.

  1. Trigger: Schedule by Zapier

    Create a Zap. Trigger app: Schedule by Zapier. Trigger event: Every Day. Pick a time of day and leave weekends on or off.

  2. Action: Webhooks by Zapier → GET

    Add Webhooks by Zapier with the event GET and fill in these fields exactly. Leave Unflatten as Yes.

    Webhooks by Zapier — GET
    URL:                https://api.jobopportunitiesapi.org/v1/jobs
    Query String Params: country = DE
                        q         = engineer
                        remote    = remote,hybrid
                        limit     = 20
    Headers:            Authorization = Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
    Send As JSON:       No
  3. Test the step

    Click Test step. You should see a data array of jobs (title, company, location, apply_url, posted_at …) plus next_cursor and has_more.

  4. Action: Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row(s)

    Add Google Sheets with the event that creates multiple rows (Create Spreadsheet Row(s)). Pick your spreadsheet and worksheet with columns Title, Company, Location, Apply URL, Posted. Map each column to the matching Data field from the Webhooks step (Data Title, Data Company, Data Location, Data Apply Url, Data Posted At); Zapier passes them as line items, so you get one row per job. Turn the Zap on.

Example: for job boards

A careers newsletter keeps a Google Sheet of new remote roles in its niche: the Zap runs at 06:00, the sheet gains one row per job with the employer's apply link, and the editor picks the best ones for the weekly issue.

Example: for AI agents

Swap Google Sheets for an AI step (for example ChatGPT or Claude by Zapier) that receives the day's jobs and writes a short summary for a Slack channel. For an agent that should search on demand, use the MCP server.

Questions

Straight answers about plans, metering and what to show.

Does this work on Zapier's free plan?

Not as written. Zapier labels Webhooks by Zapier as a Premium app, and its pricing page lists Webhooks and multi-step Zaps on paid plans; this Zap has three steps. On a free plan, the n8n template, the Make blueprint or Activepieces' HTTP piece do the same job.

How is usage counted?

Every job row the API returns counts against your plan's monthly record allowance, exactly as a direct API call would. The free key has a small monthly allowance and needs no card, so start with small page sizes and a daily schedule rather than polling every few minutes. Your key's largest page size is in GET /v1/me (limits.max_page_size).

Where do applicants apply?

On the employer's own site. Every job carries apply_url, the employer's application page or applicant-tracking-system link. Job Opportunities API never sits between the candidate and the employer, so always use apply_url as the apply button.

Do I need to show any attribution?

Yes, one line where listings are shown publicly: a visible credit "Data: Job Opportunities API" linking to https://jobopportunitiesapi.org (see /terms — storing, displaying, reselling and redistributing within your key's plan limits are all allowed). In addition, jobs listed through Erioun for Teams carry an attribution field (for example "via Erioun for Teams") and a canonical_url: when attribution is present, show it with the listing and link to canonical_url.
