Reading the ledger

• Browsing jobopportunitiesapi.org is free and needs no account.
• Automated collection from the website is not permitted. Bulk and programmatic access is what the API is for, and it is priced so we can keep the site free.
• Posting a listing is free. We review submissions before they appear and may decline or remove any of them.

The API

• Plans are metered by RECORDS (one record is one job or one employer returned to you), not by requests. The current plans, prices and allowances are at /pricing, and your account's allowance and usage are on your account page.
• Requests also carry a per-minute and per-day limit. That is there to protect the service, not to meter what you bought: exceeding it returns 429 and you can retry. Spending your monthly record allowance returns 402 and waits for the 1st, never a surprise bill.
• The free Primary key needs no card and does not expire. You can issue one yourself from your account page.
• First month free: if you sign up with a company email address, the first month of the monthly Starter or Growth plan is free. The discount is applied automatically when you check out, a card is required, and the plan renews at the normal price after the first month unless you cancel before it ends. There is one free month per company domain. It does not apply to annual plans, Signal or Scale, to personal webmail, school or disposable addresses, or together with another discount code.
• November 2026 yearly offer: until 23:59 Athens time on 30 November 2026, the first payment of a new annual Starter, Growth, Signal or Scale plan is reduced to the price of six months (EUR 174, 480, 1,794 and 5,394 net of VAT); the plan renews at the normal annual price unless you cancel before it ends, it cannot be combined with another discount code, and it does not apply to monthly plans or to a subscription that is already running.
• You see your API secret exactly once, when it is issued. We store only a hash, so a lost secret is replaced, not recovered.
• Do not share the key itself. Usage is attributed to the key, and we may revoke one that is being abused. Reselling the data or access to it through your own product is fine: see "What you may do with the data" below.

What the data is, and is not

• Every listing we publish comes from an employer's own careers page, an applicant tracking system, or a government feed.
• We publish only the subset we believe is safe to redistribute, and we say where each listing came from.
• We re-verify listings continuously and mark them delisted when they disappear, but we cannot promise a role is still open. Always check with the employer.
• We are not the employer and take no part in hiring. Applications go to the employer, not to us.
• Jobs sourced from NAV (the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration, arbeidsplassen.no) are shown with the source "NAV (arbeidsplassen.no)" under NAV's terms of use for its job vacancy feed. Keep that attribution when you display them, and remove an ad from your service when it is no longer served here.
• Jobs sourced from USAJOBS (the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's federal job site) are shown with the source "USAJOBS (U.S. Office of Personnel Management)" under the USAJOBS API Terms of Service (revision of 9 October 2026, which puts its public job announcement data under an open licence). Each links to the announcement on usajobs.gov, where the application is made. These jobs are an unofficial copy: they are not operated, sponsored, approved or endorsed by OPM or by any federal agency. Do not use an official seal, logo or insignia, do not suggest that an agency or OPM endorses your service, and do not claim that an application was sent to or received by USAJOBS.
• This service uses the ESCO classification of the European Commission. The ESCO occupation and ISCO code on a job (esco_occupation_uri, esco_occupation_label, isco_code) are our automated inference from the job title, marked inferred in field_sources.occupation; they are not the employer's classification and not an official ESCO product, and ESCO makes no guarantee of accuracy.
• Jobs sourced from Teaching Vacancies (the UK Department for Education's service) are provided under the Open Government Licence v3.0. You must not use them to charge any fee or commission for contacting, interviewing or hiring candidates who respond to those jobs.

Getting what you paid for

• Delivery is electronic and immediate. Your API secret is shown on screen the moment the order is created, and the key switches on as soon as payment completes, usually within seconds. Nothing is posted, and there is nothing to collect.
• The secret is shown exactly once. We store only a hash of it, so if you navigate away without saving it we cannot recover it; ask us and we will issue a replacement key on the same plan.
• If payment fails or you abandon checkout, the key stays switched off and you are not charged.
• There is no separate account setup, waiting period or approval step. If you can see the secret, the service is yours to use.

Money

• Listed prices exclude VAT. Creem, our Merchant of Record, sells and invoices the plan on our behalf: it calculates and collects any VAT due at checkout, based on your location and business status, and the total shown there before you enter any card details is what you pay.
• Creem issues an invoice for every payment, as Merchant of Record. Ask on the contact form if you need a copy or a correction.
• Cancel a monthly subscription at any time, from your account page or by writing to us. It stops at the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not charged again; at that point the same key moves to the free Explore plan. We do not ask why and there is no notice period.
• Because access is delivered immediately and in full, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts does not apply once you have used the key: that is the law's own exception for digital content supplied with your consent. We do not hide behind it: if you have barely used the service and tell us within 14 days, we will have Creem refund it.
• If something has genuinely gone wrong (double charge, a key that never worked), tell us, or contact Creem support directly, and it will be refunded.
• Donations are gifts. They buy no service and are not refundable, though if you gave by mistake, ask us.
• If we ever shut the API down, every subscriber with an active plan gets a final full export of the data their plan covers, and no further charges. We would rather commit to that in writing than ask you to take the risk on trust.

Corrections and takedowns

• If a listing about your company is wrong, out of date, or should not be here, tell us and we will fix or remove it.
• We act on takedown requests from the employer or rights holder without argument.

The boring part

• The service is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee either.
• We may change these terms; material changes will be announced to subscribers by email.

What you may do with the data

• Records delivered on any plan, including the free Explore plan, may be stored, cached, displayed (including to your own users and customers) and used in your own products and analyses, including after a listing closes and after you cancel.
• You may resell or redistribute the data, or access to it, that you obtain through your own key, within that key's plan limits; those limits cover all downstream use. Please don't create several keys to get around a plan's limits.
• When you display listings publicly, show a visible credit, "Data: Job Opportunities API", linking to https://jobopportunitiesapi.org.
• If an employer asks us to remove a listing, we will let you know, and we ask you to remove it from your product too. This is rare.
