FAQ
Short answers, each linking to the page that actually states the policy or the number — so nothing here can quietly go stale.
How does billing work?
Paid plans are sold and charged by Creem, our Merchant of Record: Creem takes the card payment, calculates and collects VAT, and issues the invoice — we never see or store your card details. See the current plans at /pricing and how we handle data at /privacy.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Listed prices are net of VAT. Creem calculates and adds VAT at checkout based on your location and business status, and the total shown there before you enter any card details is what you pay. See /pricing.
Can I cancel, and do I get a refund?
You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time, from your account page or by writing to us — it stops at the end of the period you have already paid for, is not charged again, and we do not ask why or require notice. Because access is delivered immediately and in full, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts does not apply once you have used the key — but if you have barely used the service and tell us within 14 days, we will have Creem refund it. If something has genuinely gone wrong — a double charge, a key that never worked — tell us or contact Creem support directly and it will be refunded. Full policy at /terms.
What is the free Explore key?
A free API key that needs no card and does not expire. Issue one yourself at /register — it takes about a minute. Its current monthly record allowance is 1,000 records on /pricing, read live from the same table the meter uses, so it will not drift out of date here.
What can I get without a key?
Every statistical read the API has — aggregate counts, coverage, provenance, providers, freshness, the price list and the spec — with no account and no key. Individual job and company rows are not part of that anymore: reading actual listings or company records needs a free key, exactly like the paid tiers. See the keyless access docs for the exact list of open endpoints, and get a free key at /register.
How fresh and verified is the data?
Listings are re-checked continuously; the API reports how long ago each row was last re-confirmed, and rows that disappear from their source are marked closed rather than silently dropped. Live measurements — re-verifications, additions, closures and the oldest unchecked row — are on /status, and the full ledger reconciliation, including what we withhold and the fields we are worst at, is on /facts.
Which countries are covered, and how much?
Coverage varies a lot by country. The live per-country breakdown — listings held and what share carry full advert text — is on /coverage/countries, and the field-by-field completeness for the whole ledger, including what we do not have, is on /coverage.
