Coresignal is broad B2B data with real self-serve plans. Here is the honest comparison.
Coresignal wins on breadth and scale; Job Opportunities API wins on employer-direct sourcing and per-field provenance.
Coresignal is a large B2B web-data business: by its own description, hundreds of millions of job records, plus company and employee data. An earlier version of this page described it as sales-gated with no published price. That was wrong: its documentation publishes self-serve credit plans and a trial, and this page now says so, with the date. Below it is compared with Job Opportunities API (JOA) for teams that only need postings.
You need company, employee and jobs data together at scale, bulk datasets, or an MCP and agent interface from one vendor. Coresignal goes much deeper on the company side than JOA ever will.
You only need postings and want them employer-direct, with per-field provenance (published, inferred or absent), closure dates and reasons on the row, a keyless way to check coverage in your own market before you sign up, and a free key with an ongoing monthly allowance rather than a 7-day trial.
| Claim | Checked |
|---|---|
| Self-serve credit plans from Mini at $49 a month (2,500 credits) up to Elite at $5,000 a month1 | 2026-10-03 |
| 7-day free trial with 2,000 credits2 | 2026-10-03 |
| Jobs data is merged from job boards, career pages and ATSs3 | 2026-10-03 |
| An MCP server and a natural-language search API are documented4 | 2026-10-03 |
- Collecting one job record costs one credit and search is free. Annual plans are 10% cheaper; datasets are priced by quote. Coresignal docs, pricing.
- Trial credits expire and are limited to one trial per company email domain. The page does not state whether a card is required. Coresignal docs, pricing.
- Multi-source records are de-duplicated and expired listings are included. How long they are kept is not stated on the pages read, so it is not an employer-direct-only feed. Coresignal docs, jobs data.
- Webhooks are documented for employee and experience changes; jobs webhooks were not found on the pages read. Coresignal docs, MCP.
Every figure about Coresignal above is a direct request we made to their own documented page, on the date shown — never a reading of their marketing copy. Things change; tell us at /contact if one of these is now wrong and it gets corrected.
