Zoo Volunteer Join the Randall Oaks Zoo as a Volunteer and play an important role in helping us care for our animals while creating a positive experience for our guests. This opportunity is perfect for anyone who wants to support the zoo, explore a future career in animal care, or simply do something fun and meaningful in the community. Why Join Us? As a Zoo Volunteer, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a zoo. The longer you volunteer, the more opportunities you’ll have to take on new responsibilities, all while supporting our mission of connecting the community with wildlife. What You’ll Do: • Assist staff with daily zoo operations (outside of animal exhibits) • Support guest experiences by providing friendly service and information • Participate in special events and educational programs as needed • Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for animals, guests, and staff • Commit to at least one volunteer shift per week (with flexibility for more or occasional time off) • Represent the Dundee Township Park District and Randall Oaks Zoo in a positive and professional manner What You Bring: • Enthusiasm for animals and people • Commitment to reliability and teamwork • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to follow directions and safety procedures • Willingness to learn and grow with the zoo team • Minimum age: 16 years old (background check required) Schedule: Volunteer shifts are available 7 days a week in the following 3-hour blocks: • 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. • 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Become a Volunteer Today If you’re passionate about animals, enjoy helping people, and want to make a difference, apply today to become a Volunteer at Randall Oaks Zoo!
