List of Requirements Powell River Child, Youth & Family Services Society is seeking a part-time Facilitator for after-school hours at the Youth Resource Centre (YRC), working 3–4 days per week. • We are looking for someone with experience working with youth in community settings who is approachable, energetic, creative, and skilled at building relationships. • Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to support youth in a calm and respectful way are essential. • Experience in art, music, recreation, or informal programming is an asset, but strong relational skills are the priority. Requirements include: • Completion or current enrolment in a certificate or diploma program in a related human services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Valid Class 5 driver’s license • Reliable vehicle able to pass a vehicle safety inspection • Satisfactory criminal record check. List of Duties • The YRC Facilitator helps create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space where children and youth can build social connections, life skills, and a sense of belonging. • The YRC Facilitator engages youth through informal, relationship-based activities that encourage positive peer interaction, inclusion, and supportive adult connections in a flexible, youth-driven environment.
