About the role The role of a Young Offending Officer is to support young people to access education Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 16:00. The successful candidate should be available Monday to Friday and be willing to work some evenings and weekends. This would be an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people’s lives from the most deprived and backgrounds, that in some cases have suffered major trauma. About the school The school caters for students aged between 11-16, who have been excluded from mainstream education and who may have a diagnosis of SEMH. The students will be actively involved in street crime and may be part of the youth offending system. Requirements To be considered for the role of Youth Offending Officer you will: • You will have experience in dealing with difficult and challenging behaviours. • You will have experience supporting in education or in care. • You will have a passion for changing young people's lives for the better. • You will have experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. • You will be available 5 days per week.
