Description
The North Brooklyn YMCA is seeking a Youth Coach/Trainer who will be responsible for leading a group or team of children/teens and teaching them progressive skill development in a designated sport. The Youth Coach/Trainer will promote the enjoyment of sports while improving physical competence, developing confidence, teaching healthy competition, and skill development. The overall major functions of the Youth Coach/Trainer also include:Provide a fun, safe, and positive experience for all participants.Demonstrate strong service and hospitality with all constituents, including, but not limited to, program participants and parents/guardians.Create an all-inclusive and supportive learning environment.Teach progressive lessons and provide opportunities to demonstrate the skills learned.Encourage a lifetime of participation in sports and physical activity.Coach games that allow for equal playing time.Be responsible for the team's equipment.Work to establish and improve group unity and spirit.Be available on Saturday evenings for the program.Embody the YMCA Core Values.
