Make a Difference in the Life of a Child. Bashor Children’s Home is seeking compassionate and committed Youth Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide direct care and supervision for youth in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. You'll play a critical role in fostering emotional growth, teaching life skills, and helping youth build a brighter future. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for youth. Supervise and support youth to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans. Teach and model positive coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills. Lead group activities that support social, recreational, and personal development. Monitor and document daily behavior, progress, and any incidents. Respond effectively to crisis situations, using de-escalation and emergency protocols when needed. Communicate regularly with youth and staff regarding progress and concerns. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous learning opportunities. Follow all agency policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards. Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Experience or training in trauma-informed care, behavior management, or therapeutic environments is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build trust and rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds. Dependable, calm under pressure, and effective at problem-solving. Willingness to work a consistent schedule, including rotating weekends and on-call shifts. Must pass background checks and drug screening as required. Schedule & Compensation Full-Time Shifts: First shift: 6AM - 2:30PM | $18.05/hour Second Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM | $19.87/hour PRN (As Needed): PRN Base Rate: $15.45/hour First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Second Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM Third Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Weekend Premium: Additional $3.00/hour for weekend shifts Shift Structure: Full-time staff on 1st and 2nd shifts work a 4-days-on / 2-days-off rotation All full-time staff share on-call responsibilities and weekend rotations Why Join Bashor?
