About Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach API Legal Outreach is the largest social justice legal organization focused on the Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, and immigrant communities of the Greater Bay Area and the Central Valley. A growing community-based organization founded in 1975, our mission is to provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate direct services to the most marginalized segments of our community including low-income women, seniors, immigrants, and youth. With offices in Oakland and San Francisco, our work is focused in the areas of Gender-based Violence, Immigration and Immigrant Rights, Disability Rights, Senior Law and Elder Abuse, Anti-Human Trafficking, Youth Violence Prevention, Anti API Hate Violence, the preservation of affordable housing and small businesses, and other social justice issues. YAC Operations and Community Care Volunteer : • Administrative & Logistical Support: Managing youth paperwork (permission forms, RSVPs), taking meeting notes, and handling event logistics such as registration and day-of check-ins. • Curriculum & Enrichment Support: Assisting with the development of YAC curriculum and supporting supplemental enrichment programming for the youth leaders. • Tabling & Development Outreach: Reaching out to local businesses to coordinate "charity nights"; managing tabling events and assisting with administrative tasks related to development and outreach. • Community Care: Helping maintain a welcoming, accessible, and supportive environment for youth leaders during meetings and community events. • Commitment: We are looking for a total of 15–20 hours of coverage per week . Please note that this does not need to be a single volunteer; we are open to having several volunteers split these hours to meet the total team coverage. We are looking for ideally a 3 or 6 month commitment.
