Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a highly experienced and versatile Workday Financials Product Owner to join our Enterprise Applications team. In this role, you will work among a small team of Workday systems administrators who serve as hands-on, end-to-end subject matter experts for Workday Finance and drive the platform's configuration, operations, and adoption across our Finance, HR, and Procurement teams. This role requires a unique blend of strategic leadership skills, deep technical proficiency in Workday, and a commitment to continuous process improvement, as well as the ability to balance the need for scale with the thoughtful management of bespoke processes designed for multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities Serve as an end-to-end Workday subject matter expert, managing configuration, troubleshooting break/fix issues, and providing operational support across all modules Contribute at all levels, from low-level ticket resolution to high-level strategy and leadership collaboration Help define and manage the Enterprise Application team’s quarterly roadmap, ensuring platform evolution aligns with HRT's strategic goals; expect to manage competing priorities and new requirements on a regular basis Partner with teams across the business to improve and re-engineer processes primarily related to finance operations, reporting, and procurement, with a focus on compliance, efficiency, and automation Integrate Workday seamlessly into HRT’s broader enterprise architecture stack Improve data governance and ensure solutions are technically cohesive for all stakeholders Maintain and advance HRT’s strong relationships with Workday product providers and customer contacts to ensure the firm receives optimal customer care and stays ahead of product capabilities Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on Workday Finance experience in a technical capacity A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus Demonstrable expertise across Workday Financials (Accounting, Asset Management, Expenses Procurement, Suppliers), Extend, Adaptive Planning, Prism, Workday HCM, and Security Expert-level knowledge of web integrations – including Studio, EIBs, connectors, and API strategy – and an understanding of the underlying SOAP/REST/WQL architecture is highly recommended Strong understanding of security, data governance, and regulatory compliance practices in a financial or high-tech environment Exceptional program management skills and proficiency with Jira for roadmap management and execution tracking The estimated base salary range for this position is 150,000 to 250,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
