About the Wildflower Role A “Wildflower” is someone who is interested in working at Picket Fence Foundation but may not be applying for a specific open position at this time. Wildflowers may be interested in future roles in areas such as: • Retail and customer service • Floral design and floral support • Greenhouse and plant care • Programs and job coaching support • Operations, events, or special projects • Other mission-aligned opportunities as they become available Submitting a Wildflower Interest Application does not mean we currently have an open position, and it does not guarantee an interview or job offer. It simply allows us to learn more about you and keep your information on file for future consideration. Possible Responsibilities Depending on future openings and your interests, responsibilities may include: • Welcoming and assisting customers, guests, participants, and community members • Supporting daily retail, floral, greenhouse, or program operations • Preparing, organizing, cleaning, stocking, or maintaining workspaces • Helping create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment • Following workplace expectations, schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines • Communicating clearly with supervisors and team members • Supporting events, workshops, displays, or special projects • Working alongside people with and without disabilities in a collaborative setting Specific responsibilities will depend on the position available at the time. Application Status and Timeframe Wildflower Interest Applications will be kept on file for 3 months from the date they are submitted. After 3 months, applicants will need to submit a new Wildflower Interest Application if they would like to remain in our pool of interested candidates. You are welcome to mention in your application or cover letter that you are also a Wildflower applicant.
