We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore services provider for a Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Aberdeen for a 6 week contract. Working under the Workshop Lead, you’ll carry out repairs, inspections, and fabrication work on offshore CCUs and tanks to DNV 2.7-1 standards. This role suits candidates with strong welding and fabrication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and independently. Main duties and responsibilities • Carrying out repairs to offshore CCU’s and tanks. • Performing preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU. • Documenting trip inspection (includes electronically). • Carrying out visual inspection on all CCU’s (including inspection of lifting gear). • Performing cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene. Applicants to this role require • Prior welding experience. • Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD016). • Basic fabrication experience. • Mechanical aptitude. • Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1.
