Welder (MIG / TIG) Location: Sparkford Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) Hours: • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm • Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm • £15.50ph • Overtime Available About the Role We are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our production team in Sparkford. You’ll be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components from stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality assemblies. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork are key. Key Responsibilities • Read and interpret engineering drawings • Measure, prepare and assemble components ready for welding • Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard • Set up welding equipment and select the correct welding method for each job • Align and fabricate components to specification • Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met • Complete work orders accurately using the company’s ERP system • Follow production schedules and work to daily priorities • Carry out routine equipment checks and maintain a safe working environment • Support continuous improvement across the production team • Assist with other production duties when required About You We’re looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated and takes pride in producing quality work. You’ll have: • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding • Experience welding stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium • Fabrication experience, including reading engineering drawings and assembling components • Knowledge of appropriate welding materials and techniques • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team • A proactive approach with excellent timekeeping and attendance Desirable • Welding qualifications or professional certification • Knowledge of metallurgy What We Offer • Full-time, permanent position • Overtime opportunities • Full training and PPE provided • Supportive team environment • Opportunity to develop your skills within a growing manufacturing business • Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications Physical Requirements This is a physically active role within a busy manufacturing environment.
