VACANCY: Welder/Fabricator LOCATION : Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield) SHIFTS: 3 Day week – Friday – Sunday 3 x 12 hour days 6am-6pm. Salary – £23.50 per hour ( Plus over time and profit share bonus ) ABOUT US: MTL Advanced is hiring due to a major expansion, marked by the opening of our brand-new manufacturing facility, based in Rotherham just 5 minutes away from Meadowhall shopping centre. Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly ABOUT THE ROLE: • Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium • Weld various joint configurations in all positions • Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements • Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded • Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale • Carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks and record the necessary safety checks • Ensure correct marking up of component parts • Ensure that the labelling system is adhered to ABOUT YOU: • Recent / relevant Welding / Fabrication Experience • Understanding of quality procedures and specific customer requirements • Ideally a coded welder • Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures • Proficient with metal fabrication tools • Advanced mathematical and engineering skills • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas WORKING HOURS: Shift Pattern – Friday – Sunday 3 x 12 hour days 6am – 6pm We know that our people are the most important asset to MTL Advanced, and we are looking for skilled, passionate and driven professionals to work with our inspirational leaders, promote our culture and enable change.
