Chant Engineering, based in the Doylestown, PA area , is a leading, diversified   engineering company that designs, manufactures and services custom testing machines and aircraft hydraulic test stands for industrial and military customers worldwide.    We manufacture standard machines as well as a lot of unique custom engineered testing equipment. We are currently seeking a full-time Mig Welder/Fabricator .  In this role the MIG Welder/Fabricator must have with a   minimum of 5 years’ experience .  The MIG Welder/Fabricator will be   responsible for welding and fabrication for our customized machinery.     The qualified MIG Welder/Fabricator must have a   current and valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug and background test. Responsibilities: •    Fabrication of machines and equipment. •    Operate machines and tools such as grinders, band saws, plasma cutters, mag drills, handheld drills, levels, squares, welders, etc. •    Repair/retrofit used equipment per engineering specifications. •    Perform various work from blueprints and drawings. Qualifications: •    High school diploma or equivalent. •     Fabrication experience is a must . •    Ability to r ead and work from blueprints and drawings. •    Knowledge of   set-up and usage of MIG and TIG welders . •    Knowledge of measuring device usage. •    Knowledge of hand tools. •     Ability to work independently and as part of a team . •    Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance. •    Ability to operate lift equipment. •    Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Beneficial/preferred: •    Welding certification preferred, but not required •    Minimum 3-5 years of machine fabrication experience or equivalent combination       of experience and education. •    Experience working with sheet metal.
