Join our workforce where your skills will be valued and rewarded. Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our teams in Shetland. The suitable candidate will be an experienced, competent Welder/Fabricator, capable of undertaking work to recognised standards. Ideally the candidate will have a marine or industrial welding/fabricating background. Responsibilities • General welding and fabricating on marine and other structures. • Read and interpret engineering drawings. • Work within a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and initiative. • Observe all legislated health & safety requirements as well as established workplace safety procedures. • Display a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to get the job done. • Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Experience • MIG, TIG, MMA & Flux Core welding experience. • Experience of welding carbon steels, aluminium, and stainless steel using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, and overhead). • Ability to read and understand technical drawings. • Experience of welding marine and/or industrial structures in the field. • Practical understanding of safe methods of work. The position will be based in our Lerwick facilities but travel throughout Shetland will also be required. There are options for shift work, if preferred. Excellent wage rate, dependent on experience, as well as a pension scheme and occupational health support. A current driving licence is essential.
