Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team at our Tuscaloosa, AL site. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding and fabricating steel and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing team in the steel industry, where you will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components for various projects. Pay: $30-$40 depending on experience Schedule: Dayshift M-F 40-50 hours a week. Key Responsibilities: Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of steel materials according to blueprints and specifications. Operate welding machines, grinders, and other equipment used in steel fabrication. Ensure quality of welds and fabrications by adhering to industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of welding equipment. Follow all safety protocols and wear proper PPE. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding program or technical training is preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in a steel mill or manufacturing environment. Proficient in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of welding materials and their properties. Familiarity with safety regulations and ability to maintain a safe work environment. Good communication skills and a strong team player. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying positions. Preferred Skills: Previous experience in steel mill operations. Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME).
