Character of Position As a Weld Fabricator , you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool. Responsibilities • Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing • Prep, lay out, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications • Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies • Weld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positions • Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques • Perform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assembly • Maintain the proper tooling to complete tasks • Construct structural components from raw materials • Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications • Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed • Certified in TIG and MIG welding • Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance • Other duties as assigned Skills • Ability to use hand and power tools • Use of straightedge, combination square, and calipers. • Use of shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components • Ability to concentrate for extended periods • Ability to read a tape measure • Strong analytical skills • Problem solving skills • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Experience • Proven experience working as a fabricator • Minimum of 2 years' experience Education • High School Diploma or equivalent Equal Opportunity Employer Visioneering is an equal employment opportunity employer, offering equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, marital status and any other characteristic protected by law.
