Reporting to the Program Manager, the Welcome Baby (WB) Family Connector is a professional position in the Family Engagement & Jewish Life Department. The WB Family Connector’s goal is to identify parents with children ages 0-2 who are looking for a connection to the Jewish community and to other new parents. This person will listen and learn about their needs, connect them with each other, provide relevant resources, and provide ongoing opportunities to build community. Primary responsibilities include, and are not limited to: 1. Family Outreach & Relationship Building Identify and connect with new parents (children ages 0-2) seeking community connection, and build ongoing relationships with them. Conduct outreach and relationship-building with parents through one-on-one conversations and friendship facilitation. Conduct Welcome Baby visits; document visits in a timely and effective manner. Maintain confidentiality where needed and aligned with JCC standards. Discuss any concerns or issues with supervisor. 2. Program Facilitation & Community Building Create and sustain regular touchpoints where families can connect with each other and with Jewish community life. Facilitate a weekly playgroup at Temple Israel in Sharon, including set-up and break-down of space, furniture, and materials. Plan and prepare for monthly follow-up activities, including sourcing food and supplies as needed. Build and maintain a networking contact list to support program growth. Promote programs through social media, moms groups, community events, local businesses, and other relevant channels. 3. Program Administration & Operations Maintain accurate program records, work within established business processes, and stay engaged with organizational supervision. Submit expenses and receipts aligned with JCC standards. Maintain accurate records and attendance sheets. Meet regularly with supervisor. Participate in periodic training opportunities as assigned. Accurately record hours worked using the Paylocity system in accordance with the payroll schedule and standard procedures. This is a regular, non-exempt limited part-time position of +/- 10 hours per week. Offering great perks, a supportive, vibrant primarily in-person work environment, (with limited opportunities to work remotely for certain administrative duties) and a competitive starting pay rate of $22.00 per hour . The pay rate offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.
