Job Summary:A warm and welcoming private household in California is seeking an experienced Weekend Nanny to join them on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the local area, confident driving, and comfortable planning outings and activities for the children.This role requires someone energetic, responsible, and fun, who can create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. You will be confident managing the children’s routines, supporting their development, and bringing a positive, proactive approach to the weekends. Job specification: Providing attentive, high-quality care for children during weekend hours Planning and engaging in fun, age-appropriate activities and outings Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment at all times Confidently driving the children to activities, events, and appointments Managing routines including meals, naps, and bedtime as required Supporting learning and development through play and interaction Maintaining a calm, organised, and structured weekend environment Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, washing up, etc.) Communicating effectively with parents regarding the children’s weekend Being flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing plans Bringing energy, warmth, and a fun, positive attitude to the role Candidate specification: Experienced in working with children in a nanny or childcare setting Energetic, fun, and engaging with a naturally warm and positive approach Confident and responsible driver, familiar with the local California area Reliable, punctual, and able to manage sole charge confidently Strong understanding of children’s routines, needs, and development Able to plan and lead age-appropriate activities and outings Calm, organised, and able to handle busy or changing schedules Trustworthy, discreet, and professional at all times Flexible and proactive in supporting family needs over weekends Excellent communication skills with both children and parents Previous experience in a similar weekend or part-time nanny role is preferred Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position [email protected] Please ensure you include the reference number for the position you are applying for (found at the top of the advert).
