Description
Our client, a leading Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company, is looking to recruit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join their growing service team.
This is a varied role working across commercial and industrial sites, carrying out a mixture of Water Hygiene compliance, Legionella control and specialist cleaning works. The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse workload with opportunities to develop additional skills across multiple service areas.
The Role
• Cooling Tower cleaning and disinfection
• Cold Water Storage Tank (CWST) cleaning and chlorination
• Water sampling and temperature monitoring
• Routine Water Hygiene compliance works
• Showerhead and hose descaling, disinfection and replacement
• Calorifier inspections
• Flushing of little-used outlets
• Closed system sampling and basic analytical testing (where experience permits)
• Cooling tower inspections and monitoring
• Completing electronic service reports and site logbooks
• Advising customers on Legionella compliance and remedial recommendations
• Working in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274 and current Health & Safety legislation
As this is a multi-skilled role, duties will vary depending on the successful candidate's experience and training, with ongoing opportunities to broaden your skill set.
What We're Looking For
• Previous experience within the Water Hygiene / Water Treatment industry
• Experience carrying out Water Hygiene compliance tasks
• Experience with cooling tower cleaning and tank cleaning would be highly advantageous
• Good understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance
• Experience carrying out water sampling and temperature monitoring
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Flexible approach with willingness to undertake a varied workload
• Full UK Driving Licence
Package
• Basic Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 DOE
