JOB TI TLE: Water Application Technician, Washington DEPARTMENT: Cesco Solutions Sales REPORTS TO: District Operations Manager/Food Process Specialist STATUS: Full time, exempt LOCATION: Washington (travel) SALARY: $81,000 /year BENEFITS: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, optional FSA/HSA, 401k with 6% employer match, life and AD&D insurance, Employee Assistance Program,   short & long ter m  disability, tuition reimbursement,  21.67 days  of paid time off + 10 holidays Job Summary : This role supports the Sales and Technical teams by leading the setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of proprietary wastewater treatment pilot systems for customer trials and field applications. The position involves commissioning pilot equipment at customer sites, ensuring systems run effectively, and supporting ongoing optimization of Cesco’s chemical treatment programs in heavy industrial environments. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and customers to  establish  treatment programs,  collect  and interpret performance data, and make informed, data-driven adjustments to improve system outcomes.  Strong communication  skills are essential, as this role serves as a key link between operations, customers, and the technical and commercial teams. This position requires flexibility, as work may occur outside of standard business hours depending on project and customer needs. Travel is a significant  component  of the role, estimated at 50–90% throughout  Washington state, and  occasional  Idaho and Oregon. Essential Job Functions : • Set up, commission, and  operate  proprietary Cesco wastewater treatment pilot systems  &  establish  relationships with current customers to support their water treatment needs  at various sites • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pilot equipment, pumps, feed systems, controls, and related components • Support installation and startup of treatment equipment and chemical feed systems in heavy industrial environments • Collect, record, and analyze operational and performance data from pilot and full-scale systems • Use data to make informed, real-time adjustments to chemical programs and system operation to  optimize  performance • Assist  in  establishing  and maintaining customer accounts for Cesco • Provide technical field support to Sales and Technical teams during trials, evaluations, and ongoing programs • Document system performance, service activities, and site conditions through service reports and internal communication • Ensure equipment and site work are completed safely and in compliance with customer and company safety standards • Support equipment  logistics , preparation, and refurbishment between deployments Qualifications: • 2 + years of technical experience in water treatment • 2 +  years experience  with plumbing and electrical, general mechanical skills • Must be able to communicate effectively • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Must be able to work outside of standard operating hours as needed; travel 50-90% throughout  W ashington,  Oregon and Idaho. Travel to Alaska may be required. This would be 4-6 week intervals. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: • This role will require the ability to move, stand, sit, bend, lift, and turn freely.  Must be able to handle tools and operate equipment while using proper PPE at all times.  Position will be  required  to visit customer sites which may include but is not limited  to:  manufacturing sites, water treatment facilities, mills, or related. Will be  required  to be in adverse weather conditions. Licensing & Special Requirements • Incumbent is subject to a background check. • Local State Driver’s license and proof of insurance required by the time of hire.
