At Operators Unlimited, we equally weigh a person’s potential values and current strengths with their direct experience and  track record  of success. Education/Experience: • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the wastewater industry  required • 2+ years in a supervisor role • Have  an appropriate wastewater   license • K nowledge of environmental regulations and policies. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections. • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift at least 50  pounds • Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for  inspections • Must be able to walk through a large  facility • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Must be able to work in an environmental  setting Our ideal Wastewater Operations Team Lead candidate will have the following capabilities and skills: *Team Member Supervisory Responsibilities • Leadership, management, and accountability for designated Wastewater Operations Specialists • Complete quarterly one on ones with team   members • Run wastewater treatment plants within permit   limits • Support the Director of Operations • Alternate wastewater operations scheduler • Manage  wastewater   contractors • Be  Action Oriented : Enjoy working hard; be full of energy for the things you see as challenging, not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seize more opportunities than  others • Be  Customer Focused :  Be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; listen intently, get first-hand customer information, and use it for improvements in products and services; act with customers in mind; establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect. • Have  Strategic Ability : See  ahead clearly;  anticipate  future consequences and trends accurately; have broad knowledge and perspective; be future oriented; articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods; create breakthrough strategies and  plans • Have  Business Acumen : Know how businesses work; be knowledgeable in current and  possible future  policies, practices, trends, and information affecting businesses and organizations; be aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. • Be  Organized : Marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; orchestrate multiple activities at once to  accomplish  a goal; use resources to  effectively and efficiently arrange information and files  in a useful manner. • Manage and Measure Work:  Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; set clear  objectives  and measures; monitor process, progress, and results; design feedback loops into work. • Have  Composure:  Be cool under pressure; do not become defensive or irritated when times are tough; be considered mature; be counted on to hold things together during tough times; handle stress; don’t be knocked off balance by the unexpected; don’t show frustration when resisted or blocked; be a settling influence in a crisis.
