About the Role:
We are seeking a Waste Water Operative to join our team working on our United Utilities contract based out of Bamber Bridge, Preston, covering their North West network
• Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston.
• Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm with a paid lunch). Overtime also available at time and a half.
• Salary: £33,800 per annum

• Due to work needs you may be required to assist on other contracts within Sapphire Utility Solutions
Responsibilities - but not limited to:
• You will be working closely with a Waste Water Operative to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities
• Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow
• Assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jetting
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
• Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
Requirements for the role:
• Drivers licence is mandatory with no more than 6 penalty points
Desirable:
• Experience is desirable however if you're looking to start your career within utilities full training will be offered.
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Competent in IT, accurate data entry
• Team player
• Positive, can-do attitude
