Description
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE $55,000 to $75,000 Compensation commensurate with experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and direct daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, and cross-dock activities. Lead, coach, train, and motivate warehouse associates while fostering teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure daily operational goals and customer service expectations are met. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently as operational needs require. Ensure all forklift operators follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory transactions, receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, and inventory accuracy. Review and maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, compliance, and operational documentation. Verify inbound and outbound freight for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal departments to resolve operational issues. Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance, providing coaching and corrective action when appropriate. Conduct routine warehouse inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards. Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged freight, equipment issues, and safety concerns to management. Assist the Warehouse Manager with scheduling, staffing, workflow planning, and process improvements. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience, including leadership, supervisory, or lead experience. Current forklift certification with demonstrated safe operating experience. Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, cross-docking, and warehouse operations. Experience maintaining warehouse documentation, inventory records, shipping paperwork, and compliance documentation. Strong leadership and employee coaching skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards and California workplace regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in cross-dock, logistics, distribution, or third-party logistics (3PL) operations. Experience with RF scanners, handheld warehouse devices, and barcode systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus. Benefits Healthcare Plan
