Warehouse and Inventory Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse and Inventory Specialist to join Vital & FHR North America LLC, a dynamic and growing company located in Bowling Green, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of products within our warehouses, with a flexible schedule accommodating the rotational nature of the positions.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
• Accurately update inventory records using computerized systems.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Order Fulfillment:
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
• Verify and confirm the accuracy of outgoing shipments.
-Prepare international shipments and confirm accuracy of shipping documents.
Warehouse Organization:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and layout.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
Equipment Operation:
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Communication:
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Report any issues or concerns related to inventory, orders, or warehouse operations promptly.
Quality Control:
• Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
• Ensure that products are stored and handled in accordance with quality standards.
Tool Crib:
• Issues tools and equipment to personnel and keeps records of items issued, returned manually or using computer.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replace inventory.
• Mark and identifies all equipment and parts and stores them in specific locations.
• Work with “Buyer” to track, and order spare parts for equipment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Shipping and Receiving experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
