About the Role We’re hiring a VP, Legal - Construction to lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of Nscale’s data centre infrastructure across the UK and broader EMEA region. In this role, you will sit at the centre of Nscale’s infrastructure expansion, connecting design, engineering, construction, procurement, vendor management, operations, finance, and commercial teams . You will lead major programmes across multiple sites, support technical and commercial negotiations for colocation partnerships, and help shape infrastructure requirements that enable growth. This role is critical to Nscale’s ability to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient, and scalable facilities that meet demanding operational standards. Your leadership will directly influence how we expand across Europe and other strategic markets, standardise regional design frameworks, and execute infrastructure projects with speed, quality, and commercial discipline. What you'll be doing Design, Engineering & Delivery Lead all legal aspects of data centre design, engineering, and construction across projects Oversee end-to-end project development from early planning through construction and commissioning. Deliver facilities to world-class standards of quality, safety, and operational performance. Drive the execution of complex, multi-site infrastructure programmes across the region. Expansion & Infrastructure Strategy Lead global expansion initiatives, including new site development across Europe and other strategic markets. Shape infrastructure requirements that support Nscale’s broader growth plans. Support new site development activities across the full development lifecycle. Champion scalable and energy-efficient approaches to regional data centre delivery. Commercial & Contractual Leadership Support technical and commercial negotiations for colocation partnerships. Lead infrastructure-related commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners. Execute EPC, supplier, and colocation contracts aligned to commercial and operational objectives. Manage procurement activities to ensure effective cost control and delivery outcomes. Vendor & Cross-Functional Management Establish a strong vendor ecosystem with clear governance and performance oversight. Coordinate closely with construction, operations, finance, and commercial teams to maintain alignment. Mitigate project risks proactively and escalate issues when necessary. Drive continuous improvement across the design and construction domain through standardised frameworks and technical specifications.
