Opportunity Xceedance is seeking a VP, Actuarial Services with deep expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Commercial lines to help expand and strengthen our actuarial consulting presence in the market. This role is focused on growing and scaling an established actuarial services capability by deepening client relationships, expanding our current book of business, and driving new commercial opportunities across the insurance ecosystem. Our approach is differentiated through collaboration across underwriting, reinsurance, catastrophe modeling, claims management, and analytics teams to provide tailored, innovative, and holistic solutions to the insurance industry. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an actuary who is passionate about helping grow a modern actuarial consulting practice focused on Commercial P&C pricing excellence. The role offers the ability to influence strategic direction, expand client partnerships, and further establish Xceedance as a leading actuarial services partner within the insurance industry. What You’ll Be Doing • Serve as a senior actuarial leader focused on Commercial P&C pricing strategy and consulting engagements across the insurance marketplace. • Hire a team in the US of consulting actuaries and actuarial analysts who in conjunction with global teammates that can offer various actuarial consulting services. • Expand Xceedance’s actuarial consulting footprint by growing existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to broaden service offerings. • Providing direction and peer review on various actuarial projects including: • Rate indications and product development • Loss reserve studies and profitability analyses • Predictive modeling solutions • Economic capital modelling • Enterprise risk management support • Captive feasibility studies, Pro forma and annual renewal/reporting support Develop trusted advisor relationships with carrier, MGA, and insurance clients by delivering actionable pricing insights and strategic recommendations. • Lead actuarial consulting engagements related to commercial lines pricing, profitability analysis, rate indications, portfolio performance, and related actuarial services. • Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, reinsurance, catastrophe modeling, claims, and analytics teams to provide integrated client solutions. • Mentor and lead actuarial consultants and analysts across both U.S. and offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery and professional development. • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives including whitepapers, market insights, proposals, and client-facing presentations that strengthen Xceedance’s market presence. • Support executive leadership in defining growth strategy, operational priorities, and long-term expansion plans for actuarial services. • Oversee project execution, resource planning, engagement financials, and delivery management across multiple client engagements. What You Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field. • FCAS designation required. • 10+ years of actuarial experience with a strong emphasis on pricing. • Must have direct experience within P&C Commercial lines industry • Previous experience partnering with sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. • Strong understanding of commercial insurance market dynamics, pricing methodologies, profitability management, and actuarial best practices. • Experience managing and mentoring actuarial teams in a consulting or client-service environment. • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and clients. • Travel required, including domestic and international travel as needed.
