We are looking for those who enjoy working with youth, can bring positive energy, and are ready to jump into a lively, rewarding environment. You will be able to directly support migrant and refugee families who are building new lives in our community. By offering educational support and enrichment, you help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically while giving parents the opportunity to learn English. Location: Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, 65 Boys & Girls Club Way, Worcester. Time Commitment: Mondays, 5:15–8:30 PM We are seeking dedicated adult volunteers (18+) to support our weekly play group for toddlers and preschoolers and enrichment programs for elementary, middle, and high school aged youth , while parents attend ESL classes on Monday evenings. Volunteers will help create a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for the children. Role Responsibilities • Assist with arts, STEM, recreational activities and games, and other age-appropriate programming • Foster curiosity and teamwork • Support youth in developing interpersonal skills and confidence • Provide guidance, encouragement, and supervision during structured activities • Help maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all participants • Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers • Comfortable working with children and youth from diverse cultural backgrounds • Reliable, patient, and committed to a regular schedule What You’ll Gain: • Hands-on experience working with youth • A chance to make a meaningful impact while having fun • A supportive team environment that values creativity and enthusiasm You will also have the opportunity to volunteer with the virtual ESL program available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings 6pm-8pm, helping adults improve their English proficiency. Training will be provided. Requirements You must be at least 18 years old. As part of our commitment to safety, a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and national background check will be conducted, which includes a review of the sex offender registry and verification of social security number. The process includes an interview, reference checks and 1.5 hours of online training. We look forward to meeting you!
