Job Title: Volunteer Driver and Companion for Seeability Location: Seaford Compensation: Volunteer Job Role: We are looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to assist a person with vision impairment by providing transportation and companionship for outings. This could include trips to appointments, shopping, social activities, or simply getting out and about. Key Responsibilities: • Drive the individual to various locations safely and comfortably • Offer friendly conversation and companionship • Assist with small tasks if needed (e.g., guiding in unfamiliar places) • Be patient, supportive, and respectful of their needs What We’re Looking For: • A friendly, chatty, and caring person • A safe and responsible driver with a valid license and a clean driving record • Someone with past care experience (preferred but not essential) • A willingness to help make outings more enjoyable and accessible • Someone who is able to undertake sighted guide training About SeeAbility Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility is one of the oldest disability charities in the UK.
