Because it does. We're looking for a Video Editor Intern who's ready to work on real client campaigns, not busywork. You'll cut footage that actually runs on paid media and social, get direct feedback from senior editors and Art Directors, and leave this internship with a stronger reel and sharper instincts than you started with. This Isn't for Everyone This internship moves fast and asks a lot in a short window. You'll get feedback in multiple rounds on the same asset, and you're expected to incorporate it quickly without losing quality. You'll be handed raw footage and general direction, not a finished storyboard, so you need to make smart calls on pacing and structure before a senior editor ever sees your cut. You'll be trusted with real client deliverables from week one, which means your work needs to hold up, not just look good in a portfolio review. If you want a slow ramp-up or a role where every decision is made for you, this isn't it. If you want to build real editing muscle on real work, keep reading. About Level Level is a performance marketing agency built on one belief: good enough isn't. We combine strategy, creative, media, and AI into one system designed to turn insight into compounding growth for our clients. We're remote-first, with people across the US and Canada, and we're serious about building a team where talented, curious people do work that matters. Collaboration isn't a buzzword here. It's how the work actually gets made. Your Role (and Impact) As Video Editor Intern, you'll support the production of video assets across paid media, organic social, and digital channels, working alongside senior editors, designers, and account teams on live client work. Your cuts will show up in real campaigns, not just a training folder. Core responsibilities include: Editing video assets from raw footage through polished first and second cuts, with senior editor or Art Director review before final delivery Supporting pacing, sequencing, and storytelling structure under guidance from senior team members Editing and balancing dialogue, music, and sound effects to a professional standard Creating multiple versions of the same asset (aspect ratios, lengths, captions) to support testing and platform-specific needs Adding text overlays, subtitles, and light motion elements as directed Incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders efficiently across multiple revision rounds Using AI as a creative and production assistant, experimenting with tools to generate footage and audio, and to accelerate assembly, captioning, and versioning Organizing and managing project files, footage, and assets within team workflows Assisting Senior Editors with sourcing sound effects and stock footage, setting up projects, and creating cutdowns Requirements Must-Haves A reel or website demonstrating edited video work (school projects, personal work, or professional experience all count) Working knowledge of Premiere Pro Basic understanding of video formats and platform-specific specifications Demonstrated interest in storytelling and visual design fundamentals Comfortable taking direction and iterating quickly based on feedback Reliable time management and ability to meet deadlines Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, or related program Nice-to-Haves / Preferences Familiarity with After Effects Prior experience editing for social platforms or paid media Exposure to AI-assisted editing tools or workflows AI Expectations You'll be expected to use AI tools as part of your day-to-day editing process, not
