The Video Editor is responsible for organizing footage, building rough edits from approved scripts, preparing projects for author review, and supporting production quality control for author-submitted videos. Responsibilities Ingest, organize, and conform video footage received from production teams and authors worldwide. Use approved AI-enabled tools to support efficiency, transcription, captioning and quality control. Log and label footage according to JoVE naming conventions, metadata standards, and project folder structures. Assemble rough cuts of JoVE Journal video articles based on approved scripts and editorial guidelines. Prepare Adobe Premiere Pro project files, template folders, and related assets for the post-production workflow. Generate basic text, graphical, and visual assets using Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Conduct production quality control reviews of author-submitted videos, identifying technical, visual, audio, and content-related issues.
