Description
Video Editor & Social Media Manager  We are looking for a skilled and versatile Video Editor who can take raw footage and deliver polished, publish-ready content for social media, YouTube, and podcast productions. This is not a role for someone who just cuts clips — we need someone who understands storytelling, pacing, and what it takes to produce a final product that looks and sounds professional across every platform.    Writing captions and scheduling social media posts is a secondary but important part of this role. You understand that a great caption is not an afterthought — it is part of the content. Getting the right content out at the right time on the right platform is a skill in itself, and we need someone who can own that too.    Key Responsibilities  Video Editing  Edit short-form and long-form video content to a high standard — clean cuts, strong pacing, and polished delivery every time  Work primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro — proficiency in at least one is required, both is a strong plus  Apply color grading, audio balancing, transitions, motion graphics, and visual effects as needed  Edit content optimized for multiple platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn  Maintain consistent brand look and feel across all video outputs  Incorporate feedback efficiently and turn around revisions quickly without sacrificing quality  Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and assets in a clean, retrievable file structure    Captions & Subtitles  Create accurate, well-timed, and visually appealing captions and subtitles for all video content  Style captions to match brand aesthetics — font, size, placement, color, and animation all matter  Understand the difference between captions that serve accessibility and captions that drive engagement — and deliver both  Edit and clean up auto-generated captions to ensure accuracy and readability  Write and format social media post captions that complement the video and drive action    Social Media Management & Scheduling  Manage content scheduling across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn  Use scheduling tools such as Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite to plan and publish content on time  Maintain a content calendar and coordinate with the team to ensure consistent, on-brand posting  Format and adapt video content for platform-specific dimensions, aspect ratios, and length requirements  Monitor post performance and provide basic analytics reports on reach, engagement, and views  Stay current on platform algorithm changes, trending formats, and best practices for each channel    Content Collaboration  Work closely with the creative team to understand content goals and deliver on the vision  Provide input on content formats, trends, and ideas that could perform well on social  Flag when raw footage needs reshoots or additional assets to meet quality standards  Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently    Required Qualifications  Strong, demonstrable video editing skills — a portfolio or reel is required for consideration  Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro  Excellent captioning skills — both technical (timing, accuracy) and creative (style, engagement)  Experience managing social media scheduling for a brand, creator, or business  Understanding of content formats and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn  Strong eye for detail — you notice when a cut is off by half a second or
