Description
About the Role :
This position will serve as a strategic architect and executor within the CFO’s office, bridging the gap between high-level business vision and financial reality. The incumbent will act as the primary catalyst for driving enterprise-wide strategic projects, ensuring that business initiatives led by the CEO and Business Heads are underpinned by robust financial modeling, rigorous toll-gate frameworks, and clear performance metrics. Your mission is to anchor the CFO’s strategic agenda; by spearheading the execution and financial monitoring of key initiatives, thus ensuring the CFO is able to focus more on long-range value creation and executive decision-making
Key Responsibilities :
• Strategic Business Partnering: Represent the Finance function in high-stakes Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). Collaborate directly with Business Heads to ensure capital allocation and resource deployment are aligned with strategic outcomes.
• Model Building & Insights: Develop sophisticated financial models that link input capital to business outcomes. Provide actionable insights that help the CFO and business leaders adjust tactics to meet long-range targets.
• Strategic Execution & Measurement: Design and implement financial toll-gates and monitoring frameworks for critical Annual Operating Plan (AOP) initiatives. Track performance against 1-to-3-year goals to increase the probability of success.
• CFO Office Enablement: Take the lead on "execution focus," allowing the CFO to spend more time on broader strategic outcomes and long-range planning while you ensure the integrity of the underlying financial execution.
• Performance Accountability: Identify potential risks to strategic plans early and work with business units to implement corrective actions. Act as the "financial conscience" of major strategic initiatives.
Key Skills & Attributes:
• Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex business inputs into financial outcomes. You see the story behind the numbers.
• Operational Connectivity: A deep understanding of how business initiatives translate into P&L/Balance Sheet movements.
• Influencer & Networker: Proven ability to navigate internal organizational structures, build consensus across disparate business units, and hold stakeholders accountable without direct authority over them.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presenting complex strategic/financial trade-offs to the CEO, CFO, and Board.
• Capital & Metric Focus: Experience in building "value-add" frameworks that go beyond accounting, focusing on the ROI and strategic impact of business initiatives.
Preferred Education and Experience:
• 18+ years of experience
• CA and MBA preferred
