Vice President, Strategy & Communications - Sydney, Australia The Opportunity As Teneo continues to grow its presence in Australia, we are seeking a Vice President with a strong background in strategic and corporate communications to join our Strategy and Communications team, based in Sydney. Teneo’s Strategy and Communications offering provides integrated communications and reputation counsel to CEOs and senior leadership teams. A Vice President at Teneo is a core member of our account teams, responsible for helping execute strategic communications programmes in support of Teneo’s clients. You will play a pivotal role in providing the highest quality of service to our clients and act as the day-to-day lead for all client projects and oversee team delivery. It’s key for us that you can cut across sectors and switch seamlessly between all our disciplines, from reactive issues management to proactive storytelling. This role is part of a thriving team advising high-profile clients on some of their most important reputation, communications, and business challenges. You will work closely with CEOs, boards, and senior executives to shape corporate narratives, enhance executive visibility, manage complex stakeholder environments, and protect and strengthen organisational reputation. Responsibilities As a Vice President within Teneo's Strategy & Communications team, your role will include: Reputation management and advisory – Supports the development of reputation management plans, advising clients on risks and issues affecting their organisations, and mitigation/ response strategies . Supporting communications strategy development and deployment – support the development of research briefs and situation analyses to facilitate audience understanding and segmentation and the creation of the communications strategy. Provide input into formulating strategic objectives and approach and risk management considerations. Issues and Crisis Management – Support clients in identifying and responding to crisis situation by developing issues management frameworks, messaging, holding statements, Q&As, stakeholder communications plans, and crisis response materials. Support crisis preparedness programmes, including risk assessments, scenario planning, media training, and crisis simulation exercises Leading on communications planning and deployment - develop and implement tailored narratives, communications plans, and innovative campaigns. Lead content development and deployment across diverse formats, such as key messages, talking points, speeches and op-eds, media engagements Account management – oversee workstreams and deliverables on accounts, lead PMO activities, oversee and mentor early career colleagues. Support workflow management and quality assurance of deliverables. Thought leadership and content development : Actively contribute to the development of client thought leadership, corporate profiling, and executive positioning content, with an emphasis on clarity, credibility, and relevance to corporate stakeholders and related media engagement. Business development support : Support senior team members with business development activity, including research, insight generation, and preparation of proposals and credentials. Begin building a personal network of professional relationships across the market. In addition, you will be expected to: Build strong client and team relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and seeking organic growth opportunities through new business proposal development; Create advisory notes for client leadership, addressing media narratives, financial markets insights, geopolitical risks, and reputational issues, while monitoring media coverage for clients and competitors; Provide support and insight to your client teams,
