Veneer Department Manager - FL Job ID JOS2205 Starting Salary $80K-100K Summary Hands-on, leading, working and managing the wood veneer department, ensuring consistent quality, throughput, and team performance. This position reports to the Production Manager. Responsibilities -Oversee grading, matching, and assembly of wood veneer for production -Ensure correct veneer selection by species, cut, figure, and grade -Manage daily workflow, labor allocation, and production priorities -Supervise, train, and hold accountable veneer department staff -Ensure veneer processing equipment is operating properly -Coordinate with production, sales, and operations teams -Maintain quality standards and minimize waste -Implement a veneer inventory system -Operate a forklift Requirements -Bilingual English / Spanish strongly preferred -Strong knowledge of wood veneer species, cuts, and characteristics -Proven experience managing people in a manufacturing environment -Hands-on experience with wood veneer grading and assembly / laminating -Experience maintaining and troubleshooting veneer equipment is a BIG Plus! -Abilities to operate and manage others operating Veneer guillotines & splicers -Experience in architectural panels, plywood, millwork, or veneer manufacturing -Ability to diagnose process and equipment issues before they become downtime -Comfortable setting expectations, enforcing standards, and coaching performance For consideration & more info send your resume (in Word.doc) & contact exclusively: Brian Jackson, VP Global Woodwork & Fixture Industry Recruiters #WJ123
