Description
My client, an international investment management business is current seeking a VAT Manager to join their team. This position reports directly into the global Head of Tax, providing excellent exposure and responsibility, making it the perfect first or second move.
This is a newly created position, joining a team of 5 globally, that has come about due to a number on on-going M&A projects making it an extremely interesting and exciting time to be involved.
With an office in Central and West London, the successful applicant will have the option to work from home up to 4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the group's VAT compliance, reviewing and submitting returns as produced by the global team
Work with the wider team to improve processes
Communicate VAT related issues to the wider finance department
Assist the global Head of Tax with minimising tax risk
Involvement with on-going advisory projects
Requirements:
Qualified accountant or hold a tax specific qualification (ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT)
At least 5 years practical VAT experience either in-house or within practice
Excellent communication skills, comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders
