Mobile Electrical Technician – Kent
Location: Kent
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £42k+ + Company Van & Fuel Card + Paid Travel Time + Overtime + Flexible Benefits + On-Call Allowance
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Electrical Technician to join a busy facilities maintenance team working across a prestigious rail contract. This role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across railway stations and associated buildings throughout the South East.
A company van is provided, so a full UK driving licence is essential. Successful candidates will also be required to pass a medical assessment and complete training to obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) Sentinel Card if they do not already hold one.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, following method statements, risk assessments and current health & safety legislation.
• Deliver maintenance works within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain buildings and facilities to a high standard through a proactive maintenance approach.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams through excellent customer service.
• Keep all site documentation accurate and up to date for internal and external audits.
• Update the client’s CAFM system with accurate maintenance records.
• Carry out electrical installation and maintenance work in accordance with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and industry standards.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical and construction safety regulations.
Working Hours
• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 1 in 6 on-call rota with additional on-call allowance
Essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
• 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent electrical qualification)
Desirable
• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
• Personal Track Safety (PTS)
• IOSH Working or Managing Safely
• Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) and RAMS
• L8 Training
