Key Purpose Statement The Utility Artisan (Mechanical) is responsible for operation of the utility area according to work instructions, monitoring of utility equipment condition, performing and carrying out routine maintenance. When required, the Utility Artisan will repair or refurbish equipment. The Utility Artisan has a primary focus on the asset care activities of the team. This role reports to the Utilities Team Leader. Key Duties & Responsibilities • Support in planned maintenance. • Support in routine maintenance. • Repairing or refurbishing of equipment. • Support in housekeeping and safety adherence. • Provide operational support. • Support in data input and report generation. • Support in NPD Implementation and trials. Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications • A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. • Specialization in refrigeration & air conditioning, plumbing or plant mechanics. Experience • Minimum of 3 years technical experience in a Utility environment. • Knowledge of boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, water treatment systems, HVAC and compressed air systems. • Sound understanding of occupational safety practices and preventive maintenance.
