Job Description Summary: The Used Car Buyer will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale. Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles. • Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation. • Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle. • Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles. • Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system. • Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller. • Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle. • Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
