Description
👋 About Us sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US. About the Role People are the engine behind everything we build at sunday. As our Talent Acquisition Manager for the US, you won't just fill seats - you'll be the architect of how we grow, who we bring in, and what kind of company we become. Based in New York, you'll own full-cycle recruitment across our US markets - from Sales and Operations to Tech and beyond. You'll work hand in hand with hiring managers, the People team, and our leadership to build the talent pipeline that fuels sunday's next chapter of growth. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for someone who loves both the art of finding exceptional people and the science of making recruiting run like clockwork. You will report directly to our Talent Director and collaborate with international colleagues across France and the UK. You bring a proven track record of scaling recruiting in fast-moving startup environments - and you're ready to do it again. Join early, grow fast, and shape the journey! Key Responsibilities • Drive volume and quality: Own full-cycle recruitment across the US - from intake call to signed offer - across all functions (Sales, Ops, Tech, and beyond). You flex across time zones and candidate availability without losing velocity. • Source proactively: Don't just post and pray. Hunt for exceptional talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking events, universities, and unconventional channels - building a strong, diverse pipeline well ahead of business needs. • Partner with hiring managers: Act as a strategic advisor, not just an executor. Help hiring managers define role requirements, share market insights, coach interviewers, and align faster - so every hire is a great one. • Optimize recruiting operations: Design and iterate on efficient, data-driven processes. Track key metrics (time-to-hire, funnel conversion, quality of hire) and use them to continuously raise the bar. • Champion the candidate experience: Ensure every candidate - hired or not - leaves with a positive, lasting impression of sunday. Timely communication, transparency, and a personal touch at every stage of the process. • Build our employer brand in the US: Represent sunday at career fairs, industry events, and through social media and employer branding initiatives that make us the company top US talent wants to join. • Scale the recruiting function: Document processes, coach interviewers, and lay the groundwork for a recruiting team that grows with the business. You're building this, not just running it. About You Must-haves: • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in fast-growing startups or scale-ups - you've operated in ambiguity, hired at speed, and never compromised on quality. • A proven track record of building and owning recruiting processes from scratch: pipelines, tools, reporting, and the trust of your hiring managers. • Entrepreneurial mindset: you move without being asked, make decisions with incomplete information, and thrive with autonomy. • Strong sourcing skills well beyond job boards - you know how to reach passive talent and build relationships before you need them. • Excellent communication and storytelling skills: you can pitch our mission to candidates, navigate tough conversations, a
