The Opportunity We are partnering with an innovative maritime technology business to hire a Sales Manager (Defence/Government) to drive growth across the US market. Key Responsibilities • Build and manage trusted relationships with key defence and government stakeholders, including naval organisations, shipyards, system integrators, and autonomous vessel manufacturers • Drive both direct and indirect sales across the region, aligned with strategic goals • Develop a deep understanding of regional maritime market requirements • Grow and support a network of distributors, dealers, and strategic partners • Act as the regional bridge between customers and internal teams • Play a key role in securing tenders and public sector contracts, converting opportunities into long-term partnerships • Deliver accurate sales forecasting and reporting using defined KPIs • Represent the business at relevant industry events and conferences • Support adjacent maritime sectors where required Candidate Profile • Minimum 5 years’ experience in defence/government sales within the maritime sector • Strong track record in solution-based and value-led selling • Experience managing complex, strategic accounts • Degree in business, marketing, or a related field • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across global markets • Proven negotiation and influencing capability (experience with Challenger or similar methodologies advantageous) • Highly proactive, results-driven, and comfortable generating new business opportunities • Established network within the maritime/defence ecosystem • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment • Willingness to travel across the US and occasionally internationally • Fluent English (additional languages beneficial) What’s on Offer • Opportunity to join a high-growth, innovation-led organisation • Collaborative and international working environment • Flexibility to work remotely in line with role requirements • Exposure to global clients and projects • Personalised training and development programmes • Regular team events and international collaboration opportunities
