Position Details: Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Location: Warrendale, PA Duration: 12+ Months (Temp to hire) Job Description: Pharmacy Technician - No certification is required, but previous experience in a Pharmacy environment would be extremely beneficial and preferred! • Prepare new prescription and refill orders. • Select and retrieve appropriate medications, compound and dispense medical prescriptions, verify quantities and prepare labels for bottles. Send order to Pharmacist for completion. • Pre pack medications from manufacture's bottle to use in dispensing medication in the quick pick areas. Prepare medications for shipment. • Replenish work station supplies such as pill bottles, caps, safety seals and paper. Clean Equipment. May operate, refill and clean pill counting machine. • Will be responsible for packing medication and supplies. Essential functions: The 5 or 6 major task areas required of the incumbents to successfully perform in this job. This list should address at least 80 percent of the job's content. Weight: (%) (Total = 100%) 1. Prepare / pick prescription orders 40 2. Pack orders in boxes / coolers w/ ice 40 3. Complete ancillary support functions 10 Qualifications: • Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities. • HS Diploma or equivalency required • Experience in a retail pharmacy or other medical setting preferred • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within dispensing pharmacy • Very detail oriented • Excellent organization skills • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions. • General PC knowledge • Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak times • Ability to stand for long periods of time Remarks Candidates needs to be available between the hours of 8pm - 8am (please see work schedule) Shift will start Sunday night through Thursday morning 4 ten hr. shift 12% pay differential NIGHT • HS Diploma or equivalency required All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
