What you can expect: The team of Prof. Sabine Kirchmayr-Schliesselberger is seeking a pre-doctoral university assistant (prae doc) starting in August 2026 to support teaching and research in the field of tax law, with a particular interest in issues relating to tax law. The announcement is made for four years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of four years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: • We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months. • You participate in publications / academic articles. • You are involved in research projects and scientific studies . • Yor are involved in the organisation of conferences, meetings, symposiums. • You apply for projects and raise (external) funds. • Independent teaching of courses defined by the collective agreement • You supervize students. • You participate in evaluation activities and in quality assurance • You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. This is part of your personality: • Master’s degree in law or an equivalent qualification completed • Professional competence: Knowledge of especially Austrian tax law • Methodological competencies: Jurisprudential methods • Knowledge of principles of teaching • High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing • Excellent command of written and spoken German • High command of written and spoken English • IT user skills • Ability to work in team What we offer: Work-life balance: Our employees enjoy flexible, family-friendly working hours, remote/hybrid and/or part-time work (upon agreement).
