Description
Our client, a specialist Legionella consultancy, is seeking a driven UK & International Business Development Manager to support continued growth across both domestic and overseas markets. This is a key commercial role focused on securing new business, developing long‑term client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence within the compliance and risk‑management sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Secure new, profitable business across the UK and international markets.
• Manage a healthy sales pipeline through proactive lead generation and follow‑up (approx. 70% company‑sourced leads, 30% self‑generated).
• Conduct sales activities including cold calling, telephone appointments, virtual meetings, and face‑to‑face prospect visits.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to costings, quotations, follow‑up, and closing.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records within the CRM system.
• Monitor and report on sales activity, providing relevant management information.
• Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events as required.
• Support wider marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Candidate Profile
• Proven track record in B2B service‑based or technical sales.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a commercial sales role.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and confident managing your own pipeline and workload.
• Able to build rapport quickly and convert opportunities into long‑term clients.
