Position Overview
We invite applications for a dynamic academic position within the Department. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and curriculum development while mentoring students and supporting departmental growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
• Design, develop, plan and deliver a range of programmes of study, including entirely new courses at various levels.
• Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
• Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
• Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
• Seek and participate in consultancies.
• Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
• Disseminate research outputs.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
Qualifications & Experience
• Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing.
• A Masters of Science qualification in Clinical Medicine from an accredited University.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Medicine from an accredited University.
• At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
• Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience .
• Registered or registrable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
