Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative industry professional with extensive expertise in fashion accessories who is passionate about education and committed to inspiring the next generation of designers.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical classes in Fashion Accessories.
• Teach the design and development of a broad range of fashion accessories, including bags, footwear, belts, jewellery, hats, and other fashion products.
• Guide students through the creative process, from research and concept development to material selection, prototyping, and final presentation.
• Support students in developing innovative, market-relevant accessory collections.
• Provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and assessment in line with programme learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Fashion Design Department Programme Leader to maintain high academic standards and deliver an exceptional student learning experience.
Essential Requirements
• A Master’s degree in Fashion Accessories, Accessory Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional industry experience in fashion accessories, luxury product design, or accessory development.
• Strong knowledge of accessory design, materials, manufacturing processes, and contemporary industry practices.
• Previous teaching or mentoring experience in higher education is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• A professional portfolio demonstrating expertise in fashion accessories.
• UAE Residence Visa Required
Desirable Skills
• Experience working with international luxury or contemporary fashion brands.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and innovation within the accessories sector.
• Proficiency in digital design software relevant to fashion accessory design and development.
