Description
Our company is looking for a traveling entry-level to experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee, manage and direct all aspects of a project from beginning to end throughout Texas and surrounding states. We specialize in Retail, Grocery, Office, Banking, Restaurant, Warehouse, and Hotel/Hospitality but do many other types of commercial construction including major “open” store remodels throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership qualities that allow him or her to take control of a project and produce results. He or she will work hand in hand with the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Coordinator to complete projects on time and within budget. Job Requirements This position will assist the Project Management Teams to: · Develop the project schedule required for projects. · Maintain construction schedule and adjust as necessary to ensure deadlines are met and the project stays on schedule. · Coordinate all construction services and activities and work with vendors and subcontractors to maintain project schedule and budget. · Work with Project Architects/Engineers to ensure that all submittals and shop drawings are received and reviewed on a timely basis. · Coordinate delivery of all materials and equipment to the job site. · Maintain project reports, plans, permits, RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, and as-builts on Project Management System. · Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors and owners’ representatives. · Coordinate all State and Local inspections related to the construction of the project through Certificate of Occupancy. · Conduct weekly safety meetings with all subcontractors and enforce Company’s safety policies and procedures. · Procure and maintain all permits necessary for the construction of the project, including all subcontractor’s permits. Experience Requirements · 3+ years’ experience in new/remodel construction and in a supervisory capacity · Ability to manage project demands efficiently with no decline in quality control · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Must be competent with computers and experience with “Procore” a plus · Bilingual a plus
