Job Description Evergreen Innovation Group,   part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an experienced   Traveling Electrical Superintendent   with 5 or more years of commercial electrical construction experience. This individual will   be responsible for   the day-to-day scheduling and field coordination of all aspects of the electrical scopes of assigned project(s). The Electrical Superintendent will work as part of the field leadership team and will   be responsible for   the planning and execution of system start-up, test, and commissioning. Along with the project teams, they will work closely with Project Executives and Regional Leadership. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following: Supervisory Responsibilities • Foster the development of Foreman to grow into future Superintendents. Duties and Responsibilities • Tra v el   t o   a n d   f r o m   the office as well as assigned job site(s). • Support both pre- con struction and the project teams   in   reviewing   tra de partners' proposals, s chedules, and   logistics . • Manage the installation of the following systems: electrical, HVAC, automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage systems, fire/life safety, and fire protection design/ con struction coordination (validated and non-validated systems). • Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying . • Participate in review of Electrical related shop drawings and submittals. • Assist in the development of full commissioning plans for all Electrical systems that identify and define the following: all test requirements, required inspections, factory start-up of major equipment, factory acceptance testing, project and vendor documentation requirements, and integrated test plans demons tra ting full system operations. • Responsible for onsite   con struction support for electrical systems and will oversee the start-up, balancing,   commissioning   and validation certification of these systems, including owner   tra ining and project closeout. • Develop and oversee project specific electrical quality and safety programs, including participating in safety cause mapping for post electrical safety events. • Create   con struction schedules, perform regular updates,   monitor   logic relationships, and insert new activities and impacts. • Coordinate jobsite   logistics   and   maintain   relationships with neighboring occupants. • Negotiate with authorities having   jurisdiction   to achieve project occupancy milestones. • L ead EIG/DPR’s injury-free environment safety program. • Coordinate sub con t ra ctor work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading in   con junction with DPR’s self-perform work crews. • Professionally represent EIG field operations as   primary   interface with owner and design teams. Required Skills and Abilities We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and   con sistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will   possess : • Excellent listening, communication, and   con flict resolution skills. • Comfortable in an open and collaborative working environment. • Ability to create and support a positive team environment. • Able to work with multiple stakeholders to   identify   and resolve complex issues as it relates to electrical design and   con struction. • Ability to run complex meetings with multiple attendees, issue minutes promptly, and follow up with participants for deliverables. • Strong grasp of electrical   con struction   con cepts and applicable codes. • Good understanding of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems and the integration of same with mechanical, electrical , and building   systems. • Good understanding of the test and balance process and requirements. • Good understanding of building automation systems and sequences as it relates to MEP. • Good understanding of Electrical related safety regulations. • Proficiency   in the use of current virtual design and   con struction software is preferred. • Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam. • Ability to   con t ribute to a culture of safety in a   con struction environment. • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude. Education and Experience • 5+ years of experience as   an   Electrical Superintendent, preferably within DPR’s core markets. • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not   required . • Experience with CPM scheduling and the lean pull planning processes. Knowledge and use of Primavera P6 is preferred.
